SPED 422N - Practical Teaching in Special Education II
This course is designed to provide an in-depth field experience in teaching K-12 students with disabilities. Teacher candidates will plan, implement, and evaluate instruction under the guidance of a mentoring teacher. This course will include (a) planning, instruction, and assessment based on needs of students with disabilities, (b) implementation of special education high leverage practices, and (c) use of research-based strategies to engage students and maintain and facilitate appropriate behavior. (RE) Prerequisite(s): SPED 420 (RE) Co-requisite(s): SPED 496 Registration Restriction(s): Admission to teacher education.
