This course will employ a flexible mix of in-person and face-to-face instruction. Students collectively attend F2F (socially distanced) or virtually depending on the activity, bringing students into the studio when required by course content but using technology to deliver other content when appropriate. Furthermore, in this model, the alternation of the form of delivery is irregular and on a customized schedule that is laid out at the start of the semester by the instructor and communicated through Canvas. The course involves Individual and collaborative studio work encompassing theory and practice in intaglio, lithography, relief printing, screenprinting, monoprint, papermaking, book arts, and/or photo-print processes. This course fulfills the “R” designation through student initiated creative research project(s) under faculty direction that include iterative development of advanced applications of studio investigations, project-development and execution.
